Prohibited Content Policy
What you may not list, post, or share on Stuex · Effective Date: 16 May 2026
Stuex exists to serve students. To keep the Platform safe, lawful, and useful for academic life, we strictly prohibit the categories of content and conduct described below. This Policy supplements our Terms and Conditions and is enforceable against all users.
Violations may result in removal of content, suspension or permanent closure of your account, forfeiture of funds held in escrow where required by law, and referral to law enforcement or institutional authorities.
1. Illegal Goods and Services
You may not list, sell, advertise, or solicit:
- Controlled substances and recreational drugs of any kind, including cannabis, MDMA, codeine, tramadol outside prescription, and any other substance regulated under the NDLEA Act.
- Prescription medication, syringes, or medical devices without lawful authorisation.
- Firearms, ammunition, knives intended as weapons, explosives, or any item regulated under the Firearms Act.
- Stolen goods, including items without verifiable ownership.
- Counterfeit currency or financial instruments.
- Human remains, body parts, or fluids.
- Wildlife products prohibited by Nigerian or international law, including ivory and protected animal parts.
2. Academic Malpractice
Stuex has a zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice and academic dishonesty ("Expo"). You may not:
- Share, distribute, or solicit live or unauthorised examination questions before, during, or after an examination.
- Sell or offer to write tests, examinations, assignments, or projects for another student.
- Sell, share, or solicit answers to ongoing examinations or quizzes.
- Use SILE, messaging, or any Platform feature to coordinate cheating or impersonation.
- Upload material that infringes the intellectual property of academic institutions, examination bodies, or other rights holders.
Past questions that are lawfully released, freely distributed, or otherwise in the public domain may be uploaded for study purposes. Where ownership is unclear, do not upload.
3. Counterfeit, Replica, and Fraudulent Items
- Counterfeit goods or unauthorised replicas of branded products.
- Items falsely claimed to be authentic, original, or factory-sealed.
- Software, licence keys, or digital content sold without proper licensing rights.
- Pirated books, course materials, films, music, or other copyrighted content.
4. Adult and Sexual Content
- Pornography, sexually explicit images, audio, or written material.
- Solicitation of sexual services or escort arrangements.
- Sexualised content involving any person who is, appears to be, or is portrayed as under 18, even in fictional form. We report such content to law enforcement without exception.
5. Hate, Violence, and Harassment
- Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence on the basis of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Threats, incitement to violence, or content glorifying terrorism.
- Doxxing, stalking, harassment, or coordinated harassment campaigns.
- Bullying of any user, including via direct messages, public posts, or reviews.
6. Privacy Violations and Impersonation
- Sharing another person's personal information without consent, including phone numbers, addresses, or photographs.
- Impersonating any individual, institution, lecturer, or organisation.
- Creating fake accounts, sybil accounts, or accounts under false credentials.
7. Scams, Fraud, and Financial Crimes
- Phishing pages, fake login screens, or any attempt to harvest credentials.
- Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, gambling rings, and "get rich quick" offers.
- Money-laundering, unauthorised currency exchange, or sale of bank account access.
- Misleading listings, bait-and-switch tactics, or false delivery claims.
8. Malware and Security Threats
- Distribution of viruses, malware, spyware, or any malicious code.
- Tools designed for hacking, surveillance, or unauthorised access.
- Attempts to bypass Platform security, scrape protected data, or reverse-engineer Stuex systems.
9. Regulated and Sensitive Items
The following categories are restricted. Listings may be reviewed and may be removed if compliance cannot be established:
- Alcohol and tobacco products.
- Sharp instruments, chemicals, and laboratory reagents.
- Health supplements, herbal remedies, and unverified medical products.
- Live animals or plants.
10. Spam, Misuse of Features, and Off-Platform Diversion
- Repetitive or irrelevant listings, mass-posted content, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
- Diverting users to off-platform payment channels to evade escrow.
- Soliciting reviews, ratings, or referrals in exchange for incentives without disclosure.
11. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates this Policy, please report it through the in-app report feature or email support@stuex.ng. We review every report and take action where appropriate.
12. Enforcement
Stuex investigates suspected violations through automated systems and human review. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:
- Remove the offending content.
- Issue a warning.
- Restrict access to specific features.
- Suspend or permanently close your account.
- Withhold or reverse funds held in escrow where required by law.
- Refer the matter to your institution, the NDPC, the NDLEA, the Nigerian Police, or other competent authorities.
13. Updates
We may update this Policy as new risks emerge. Material changes will be announced on the Platform.
